8) Hinder - Verb - Make it difficult for someone to do something or for something to happen. Example - Their journey was hindered  by snow and high winds.

  7) Alumni - Noun (Plural form of Alumnus ) - A person who has attended or has graduated from a particular school, college, or university. Example - Rakesh, Rohan, and Sam are Cambridge alumni , having graduated together in 2014.

 6) Manger - Noun - A long trough from which horses or cattle feed.  Example - The farmer filled the manger with hay for the horses.

5) Summon - Verb - to order someone to come to you, or to officially tell someone to be present. Example - Court has summoned the criminal.

4. Futile - Adjective - Something has no result or effect or is pointless or useless. Example - Ramesh brought his arm up in a futile attempt to ward off the blow.

3. Brace - Noun, Verb - To support or strengthen something, or to fix it firmly. Example - He will need to brace the walls.

2) Infrastructure - Noun - The basic physical system of a business, region, or nation that serves a community, country, or region/ The basic physical and organizational facilities (like buildings, roads, power supplies) needed to operate society or enterprise.  Example - India's social and economic infrastructure is developing day by day.

  Cynosure - Noun - A person or thing that attracts a lot of attention, especially because of its beauty or brilliance./ A centre of attraction or attention. Example - Shakshi has turned an eyesore into a cynosure.
